Join us for the morning of September 6th for 2.5 hours of BFTS training as you continue to grow your skills in teaching!

This conference is FREE for teachers of Center Plus Members and for Individual Teacher Members of GCCA.

Check with your administration to determine whether your center is a Center or Center Plus Member of GCCA before registering:

  • Center Plus Members can add their teachers to their school profile to register for this training at no additional cost-follow these easy steps for updating your teacher profile
  • Individual Teacher Members can log in to register at no cost as well
  • Center Members or nonmembers can register for just $40 for this great back to school information!

Saturday, September 6th: Literacy Foundations for Lifelong Learning 

**this session will meet the 2-hour annual literacy training requirement for childcare providers in Georgia

This session centers on literacy development in young children, equipping teachers with techniques to foster language and reading skills.

  • 1-Hour General Session: The Power of Early Literacy: Laying the Foundation for Success

    • Importance of language-rich environments.

    • Engaging families in early literacy practices.

  • Infant/Toddler Breakout (1.5 Hours): Building Language through Play and Interaction

    • Techniques for storytelling, singing, and conversation.

    • Engaging activities that build vocabulary and understanding.

  • Preschool/Pre-K Breakout (1.5 Hours): Engaging Early Readers and Writers

    • Hands-on literacy activities that encourage love for reading.

    • Methods to integrate literacy into all areas of the classroom.
