GCCA has reached out to ALL Gubernatorial Candidates to ask about their platform for early childhood education. While GCCA DOES NOT endorse candidates, it is our job to advocate for quality, affordable, accessible child care policies and to identify candidates who have policies that would negatively impact the early childhood education industry.
Secretary of State Brian Kemp, who is running as a Republican candidate for Governor, released his early childhood education platform which includes several GCCA policies, such as funding for the Georgia Pre-K program and appointing current or former child care providers on the DECAL board. Kemp is the first Republican gubernatorial candidate to release an early childhood education platform.
